Our Pack meeting typically opens with flag ceremonies and the salute before discussing announcements and beginning the night’s activities. All activities at a Pack Meeting are completed amongst all dens.
Our Den meetings will open with a flag salute and the Scout Oath as a Pack, and then continue as individual dens.
-
We meet as a Pack (all Dens doing activities together) on the third Tuesday of each month from September through May at the Scout Hut. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM and conclude by 7:00 PM. Please be on time!
Our Scout Hut is located at 2247 Oak Street in Paso Robles. We share the space with other local BSA chapters.
-
This year, our Den meetings are all coordinated (all Dens meeting individually at the same time and location) to allow families with multiple Scouts to participate. We will meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from September through May on the Georgia Brown Dual Immersion School campus. Meetings begin at 6:00PM and conclude by 7:00PM. Please be on time!
-
We consider ourselves a “belt-up” pack. Our Pack 92 asks that your Cub Scout wears a Class A uniform shirt with kerchief and slide, or a Class B t-shirt. Unless otherwise noted, your Scout should wear a Class A to Pack Meetings, and either a Class A or Class B to Den Meetings. Rank-specific hats are optional but not required. For special events, we’ll let you know the dress code.
We have “experienced” shirts from the Scout Hut upon request, which are subject to availability.
-
There is a new-member joining fee of $25 (if you have previously joined BSA, this fee does not apply to you). Annual dues are currently $183. This includes a $170 registration and council program fee from BSA for all twelve months, plus a small Pack 92 fee of $13 (please see registration information HERE). Additional costs for special events arise on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
-
At the beginning of each school year (and corresponding Scout Year), the Pack participates in the local Scouting Council's popcorn fundraiser. Boys have the opportunity to sell popcorn door-to-door with an adult, sell at local businesses, and at other pre-determined locations. There are prized for the participants and a portion of the profit goes directly into our treasury to fund pack costs and activities. Donations without purchase are also accepted. We may also include other fundraising opportunities through the year, as discussed during the monthly Parent Committee Meetings and Pack Meetings.
-
Yes, we invite families of all traditions to join us. Please keep in mind that the prayers/blessings, religious activities, and God & Country adventures all revolve around Christianity but can be tailored to different customs as the core concept is simply reverence. We are able to let each family guide their Scout in a way that best serves their own traditions.
-
Pack leaders send out emails and our Coordinator for Communication typically sends a weekly update, so please make sure you have given your contact information so you can be added to the appropriate mailing list(s). You can also check the calendar HERE.
-
Every year, the BSA issues annual charter to local community-based organizations and local Scouting councils. These organizations provide support including but not limited to programming, fundraising, training, support materials, and direct professional services.
The Paso Robles Area Historical Society is currently chartering Pack 92.

Every uniformed Pack 92 leader has completed at least three basic training classes. We take creating a child-safe environment very seriously.
-
Parent are highly encouraged to remain at the meetings with their Scout(s) and offer assistance to the den leaders as needed. Our meetings are not an "evening babysitting service." Plus, there is value for all parents to engage in this experience with their Scouts.
-
Every parent should be willing to volunteer some of their time to work with the trained Den Leader(s) in an effort to provide quality meetings.
-
The Pack is entirely volunteer led. We always need parents to become den leaders, serve as event coordinators, assist with registrations, help with Treasurer duties, and more. Each month, we have a Parent Meeting to help guide the direction of the Pack. At the beginning of the Pack Year, we host an informal meeting to discuss parent roles and needs.
-
The Pack Leadership is made up of the Den Leaders, Treasurer, Advancements Coordinator, Committee Chair, Assistant Cubmaster, and Cubmaster. The Pack Leadership generally meets together on the first Wednesday of each month at the Scout Hut at 6:00 PM to set plans and make policy for the Pack. All parents are encouraged to attend.
-
Our pack typically has both a spring and fall camping trip. Generally, we visit a local or semi-local place. Camping trips are typically held at campgrounds with running water and electricity.
-
We host lots of activities throughout the year, all based on availability and membership. In addition to the overnight camping opportunities, our Pack tends to offer outings that are flexible enough for families. You can find the information HERE.
